Demonstration Team New & Updated Requirements
Demo Team Parents and Students,
Please read about the new and updated requirements for the demonstration team. You will have a grace period of one week for the new attendance requirements, meaning the new requirements will not be enforced until the start of next week, Monday, March 25th.
Demo Team Class Times & Attire Updates:
The weekly Friday practice from 8:00-9:00PM will remain the same.
The weekly Saturday practice time is now 12:00-2:00PM. Leisure time has been removed.
Attire for every demonstration team class is now the full white demo uniform with a undershirt and belt. The undershirt may be the demo training shirt, the demo casual shirt, or any other solid black shirt.
Attendance Requirements:
NEW: All members are now required to attend at least 3 classes from Monday-Saturday. Demonstration team classes do not count towards this requirement. After the grace period, this attendance requirement will be strictly enforced.
NEW: Students must check in with Master Michael at either the beginning or the end of a class they attend for it to count toward their three class requirement. At the end of each week, attendance will reset. If you take more than three classes, those additional classes cannot be rolled over to the next week to count towards that week’s requirement.
Members are required to attend the weekly Friday 8:00-9:00PM and the weekly Saturday 12:00-2:00PM demonstration team practices.
Members are required to attend any additional practices that may come up. I will provide you with as much advance notice as possible.
Failure to consistently meet these requirements may result in termination from the team.
Exceptions:
Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis and will be very limited. Please try to communicate to me any prolonged absences or any circumstances that may prevent members from attending.
Additional exceptions or temporary changes to attendance requirements will be communicated to parents when relevant. EX: summer break, winter break, spring break, school holidays, etc.
The demo team tab on this website has been updated to reflect these changes. Please take a look at it for practice times and attire requirements. Please let me know if you have any questions.
